Really Really Free Market!
We are gearing up for our first Really Really Free Market!
– Sunday, 2/13, 10am-2pm – at Northgate Park, between the tennis courts and big picnic shelter (hosted by North Durham Mutual Aid)
As we prepare, we are asking that folks start to brainstorm what they may have to offer.
The premise of a Really Really Free Market is that people will be bringing, giving, and taking because we understand that a lot of what we need, we collectively have.
Feel free to bring whatever you have, decide the day of, etc., but we are asking that if you know of a skill or resource you may be able to offer, please reach out and let us know!
Finally, please share this among your circles to get the word out to gather as much collective resources and community power as possible!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at NorthgateResponse@gmail.com or call 919-886-4614

It’s luminary time! – Sunday, December 12, 2021
Northgate Park Neighborhood Association is sponsoring our annual Luminaries in the Park again this year! Due to the pandemic, we’ve had to re-think how to safely create this magical event, and we need your help to create some festive winter cheer!
We’re looking for neighbors to help us make the luminaries! Can you volunteer to make a set of 20 luminaries (or more than one set?) – adding sand and a candle to a paper bag – and then put them out around the park on the afternoon of December 12th? Come pick up a set of materials, take it home, and create the luminaries in the comfort of your own home. Our goal is to create and set out 500 luminary bags!
The packs are available in the gazebo behind 2500 Shenandoah Ave (with more detailed instructions). Please feel free to pick up a pack anytime during the daytime. There will be a sheet in the gazebo to sign to help us keep track.
Want to help with the event?! We need volunteers to help with candle lighting the day of the event, clean up the day after, and general help the day of. Please contact Eric for more information and sign up to help for a shift here.
Want to decorate your own home? We also have limited luminary sets available for purchase. Please contact Kari to order a set of 10 luminaries for $10 (including the bags, sand, and candles). You can pay for a house pack using PayPal on the northgateparknc.org website or mail a check to the NPNA Treasurer. Contact Kari for payment details and to set up delivery.
